Alienware Command Center

AlienFusion: The new Always Ready Mode puts your system in a state in between sleep and awake, allowing core programs to run in the background while the machine runs quietly and in a lower power mode.

AlienAdrenaline: Featuring customizable game and application, a system performance optimizer and a performance monitoring tool, AlienAdrenaline provides users all the tools they need to keep one step ahead of the competition.

OC Controls: Take control of overclocking levels for your memory and CPU with OC controls. So I assumed best route was a full reset
    3 Stars
So I assumed best route was a full reset
Its just before New year's in Western NY and it's been in the negatives for the last few days. So I'm gonna assume that played a part but I got this machine and I couldn't get it to send a signal to the monitor. I used DP and HDMI off the graphics card then the motherboard.after cycling 6 times I got a Windows screen and started setting up. From here the monitor would lose signal periodically.. less often as the day progresses. ( I got it around 10am and didn't start using it untill 3pm) So noticed it started an update which basically froze up the computer so that only certain tasks worked. It kept stopping at 15 percent. So I assumed best route was a full reset. Which lead to a default trouble shoot which lead to inaccessible boot device (blue screen) toubleshooted the reset from there and now it just cycles on to the blue screen and off. I checked connections and unplugged it then held the power button as suggested. Idk what's wrong with it but I'm going to buy another and I'm hoping it was the extreme cold that contributed to the problem. The hardware passed all the performance tests so 3 stars because its been consistently freezing out here all week and I just don't want to believe it left the factory that way. And it did work fine untill the update. But cycling on and off for a monitor signal was a bit much. The monitor only worked if you got the white text mentioning that windows didn't close properly.I only hope that this review helps sort out the cause because man now I got to wait for a new one.I ran the monitor on my PS4, no issues

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful, Sexy, but runs hot.
Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2018
I got the 1080 with optane version and just set it up last night, so far so good.

I have it hooked up to a 27" Dell 2k monitor with G-Sync. A monitor with G-Sync is an absolute must for this graphics card, and currently the one I got is on sale at bestbuy and is the cheapest on the market.

Only tested two games so far:

Arma 3 on ULTRA settings, was hovering at around 80 fps. Pretty good for a terribly optimized game.
League of Legends (never looked so good lol) at max settings peaked at the beginning of the game at over 500 fps, and hovered in the mid 200's to 300's for the majority of the match.

    Some pros so far:
    >The case looks even better in person, and you can customize the lights. Hands down best looking AW case I've seen, some of them can look really ridiculous.
    >Powerful. If it can handle a game as terribly optimized as Arma 3 on ULTRA, it can handle anything.
    >Alienware Command Center is definitely a neat tool to monitor your thermals, and manually adjust your fan profiles.
    >Although I haven't done it yet, it's very easy to take it apart to get at the internals. I've seen videos of people doing it, and it requires no tools; just pop off the side and push a lever and you're looking at the motherboard.

Only con I've noticed so far:
    >Thermals. Seeing as this Amazon config is *NOT* running liquid cooling, you need to manually adjust the fan profiles to actually make a difference. They don't do too much at default settings. They are super loud, and it makes me a little nervous. I personally will be looking at liquid cooling options very soon.

The verdict so far is that it's a fantastic beast of a machine. I will update this review as I spend more time with it and notice any more pros/cons.
