Great Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box Very impressive. Nice presentation as you would expect fro B&W. The leather carrying pouch adds a nice touch. Comfort level They fit snug but after a month of use have eased up a bit. My ears usually get a little "hot" after about 3 hours of constant use. Noise Cancelling These don't have an active noise cancellation like the Sony's and Bose, rather rely on passive noise cancellation. With music playing at a mid volume, it take a lot for my wife to get my attention. Wireless Connected right up with ZERO fuss with my Sony phone. Allows for complete flexibility to get up and walk around. The mic also works great when a phone call comes in. Wired The included hard wire automatically turns off the BT and headphones off (saving battery) and provide an extra level of sound purity than even a aptx wireless connection gives. Awesome to be able to pair it with an external DAC if you so choose. Sound Quality I have had several other headphones ranging in price from $50 - $250 that just can hold a candle to the sound fidelity that these cans can produce. In-ear phones need not apply, it's a completely different sound, much more depth of sound and positioning (3Dness if you will). I do think also that you get out what you put in. Low res MP3's will sound great, but putting a little more effort in and paying for the HiRes audio will give you a renewed appreciation for music. I think that last statement is where I am today. I have remembered why I listen to great music, not as background noise filters for work, but for the pure enjoyment of listening to music.

Excellent headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a long journey as I tried several, returning them, but this one is a keeper.Audio clarity is so superior to Bose and understandable why Bose sets up the display where it is difficult (impossible) to cross compare with your own source music. One of the biggest advantages of the B&W is the LACK of noise cancellation which you don't notice at listening levels anyway. The problem with every noise cancellation unit I tried was was a background hissing level during quiet passages or no music which impacted that frequency range, where the B&W P7 was pure. Did try the P5 but wanted over ear rather than on ear, and it is not quite as detailed as the P7, but excellent. Sennheiser Momentum was a close second but wanted wireless, and that was even more than the H&B. Bottom line...In terms of wireless over ear headphones, the B&W P7 is worth the extra $50 over the Bose and both are far superior to the boomy Sony 'extra bass' and Beats, each priced similar to Bose.

Excellent sound and build quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are a great set of cans with excellent battery life and deep low-end response. I consistently wear them all day at work, and they are very comfortable; The soft leather on the ear cups and the headband add a very nice feel. I especially like that you can use the included headphone cable in the event that the battery dies. To use the cable, you have to pull off the left earpiece and plug the cable into the integrated port. The left earpeice is held magnetically and pops off with a little force (its anchored very securely). I've gone more than two full workdays without recharging, so the advertised battery life is no gimmick. You can use them while charging if you must. These headphones definitely feel very solid and clearly built to last; I like the metal in the headband, which provides both style and durability. The passive noise canceling is surprisingly good and probably helped by the extra low end. All in all, these are great and well worth the money in my book. They're definitely have better sound than the Beats by Dre, but some Bose headphones might have better noise canceling (at the cost of lower battery life) if that's of utmost importance to you. I haven't heard Bose headphones in a while, but I'd say these offer comparable, if not better sound. If having extra bass isn't your cup of tea, you may want to avoid these. It's not excessive, but you definitely feel it more with these than the average headphones.

Nearly flawless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're going to spend $400 on headphones, spend it on these. The construction is excellent, the leather is high quality, and the cup sizes are perfect. As for the sound, it is what you would expect from B&W. Flawless and crisp, no heavy bass or muddy mids, simply really good sound. I have a very eclectic music collection, and I have yet to find a style that does not sound good through them. If I were going to get picky, there are two issues I have; one, I would be concerned with length of life on the hinges and sliding mechanisms as each time you use the case (which is very nice by the way) you must compact the phones down entirely, so if you are doing this daily, that is quite a bit of wear and tear. I personally leave them out most of the time, and only case them if I am taking them to the office and it is raining. Two, the Bluetooth connection does not stay long. If you pause a track or film for maybe only a minute, it will disconnect. I would prefer having them stay connected for a longer period of time, say maybe ten minutes. The batteries can handle that. On a final note, if using an iPhone (probably everything else as well), make sure to turn the EQ off or set to 'Flat'. The phones sound much better using the natural levels set in production.

Great sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading many reviews, I decided to purchase these headphones for home listening and business travel. I am not an audiophile, however, I consider myself an avid listener. I had the opportunity to listen to these side by side with other headphones in my house. The sound of these is much clearer than Beats Solo 3. Much nicer sound. Clearer sound with lots more depth. Compared to the Sennheiser 4.4, not even close. P7s win hand down in sound. As for confort, these baddies are heavy. Much heavier than the above mentioned two. But not heavy enough to be uncomfortable. You just know they are there when ever you lean down to pick up bags etc. I am happy with my purchase. I used them in an airport and were excellent for tuning out crowd noise and simply envelop me in my own environment. While isolating enough for city travel etc these do not provide noise cancelling and definitely can hear airplane engine noise. But, for all other conditions, these work great.

Best headphones for <$500
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm coming from the wired p7 version of these headphones along with the momentum 2.0 wireless headphones. Hands down these are the best sounding headphones that have aptx and aac codec for wireless listening which is much better than anything else currently on the market. Using them wired they actually sound a little better than the original p7's and have a slightly different sound signature, although i may one of the only few that actually prefered the original's sound just a tad. The convenience however of not having ANY wires is superb. Comvined with the sony A17 walkman these things really shine. Can't wait to get my E-18 back from service to try then out with those as well.

Best wireless audiophile cans under $400
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had done pretty extensive research online, reviews, and several trips to stores comparing the B&W P7 wireless, to Bose QC35, Beats Pro, Sony, and several others but in comparison they all lacked some quality... clarity, staging, bass, comfort, style, all of which the P7 wireless has! The only possible shortcoming this offering doesn't have (doesn't need) is the active noise cancellation which in my opinion can sound artificial or miss timing... I prefer having the natural sound, and at the listening levels I use these, I can't hear much in the way of ambient noise. Two Thumbs Up!

Excellent sound quality for Bluetooth.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The B&W P7 Wireless are a premium headphone with Bluetooth connectivity and offers similar but improved sound quality over the P7 Wired. Supports AptX codec for Bluetooth. Fit and finish is excellent and battery life is above average. Some may find the clamping force of the headphone to feel tight but I found it secure and comfortable. In most environments, the ear cushions will provide some isolation from external noise but it is sufficient when there is music playing but there is no Active Noise Cancellation available. Noise cancelling headphones are better suited when traveling by air or train but the P7 Wireless are terrific at home or in the office.
