Great for even a home printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a nice home printer and are willing to splurge a little bit the imageCLASS MF733Cdw is a great addition to any home computer set-up. This laser printer prints FAST, especially if you're used to inkjet printers. Finding a color laser printer can be a bit hard, and while my experience so far has yielded somewhat washed-out looking colors, overall it prints in color well. I have yet to try printing on any type of photo paper so if that is of importance to you than look around to see others' opinions on its photo printing performance. All around a solid printer.

Nice home business printer - setup ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been reading reviews for a color 3-in-1 laser printer with two-sided printing and two-sided scanning. I was quickly lead to the Canons and settled on the MF733Cdw. Initial setup was easy and I was printing through my Wi-Fi network. iPhones and our two laptops connected with ease. Scanning, on the other hand, was not easy. This printer will scan to email and to a computer drive. This will not scan to Google Drive. After some searching, I was led to two YouTube videos that helped me figure out scanning to a Gmail address. - Setup scan to Gmail on Canon. https://youtu.be/bLygv3E0ODY - How to enable less secure apps in Gmail. https://youtu.be/AFRqT3BR_e0 Once I watched and applied the video’s instructions, I was able to scan to Gmail from the 733.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally ditched my Canon Inkjet and made the switch to a color laser printer. It is phenomenal. I absolutely love it. Very easy setup, lighning fast, and great print quality. It is HUGE so if you have limited space you may want to consider something else.

This printer surpasses my expectations.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting up this printer was very easy. I had no problem connecting it to my local network using either wired connection or Wi-Fi connection. It also prints super fast with great quality output.

Best printer I have ever had
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this printer for a while now and I can confidently say it’s the best I have ever owned. I used to own inkjet printers that would all inevitably break of jets would get clogged. This baby works. The WiFi function works every time and I have needed to perform zero maintenance since I have installed it. The auto feeding scanner function is also great and I am happy to say in addition to all these things it is also cat proof. My darling pet is obsessed with being queen of the printer and she has not broken anything on this one so it is also tough.

Q: QuestionDoes this printer print well on photo paper?
Asked by Deborah.
- A:Answer This printer does not print picture .I just tried it and its very blurry with lines in it.
Answered by Brady
Q: QuestionI am curious about the volume print cartridges will last. Replacements seem pretty expensive. Is there an estimate of cost per print?
Asked by Steve.
- A:Answer If you buy the regular black Canon 046 toner, you'll get around 2,200 pages at a cost of around 3.5 cents per black and white page. If you get the high capacity Canon 046 H toner, you'll get around 6,300 pages at a cost of around 2.2 cents per black and white page. Of course, color printing will be more expensive than this per page.

Q: QuestionWhat is the plastic piece in the box for? It shows in the parts list, but never says what it's for or where it goes. I'm lost. lol It looks like a cover or something.
Asked by Gilcher.
- A:Answer It's a dust cover for the paper tray when you use legal size paper.

Q: QuestionDoes this printer stop printing if it decides that one or more of the cartridges is low and print quality will be affected? I've had multiple printers stop printing when they decided that the toner was low even though the print before wasn't faded.
Asked by RealDJ.
- A:Answer THE PRINTER WILL ALERT YOU WHEN A CARTRIDGE(S) IS LOW AND AGAIN WHEN A CARTRIDGE IS OUT OF TONER. THE PRINTER GIVES YOU AN OPTION TO CONTINUE PRINTING WHEN ONE OR MORE OF THE TONER CARTRIDGES ARE EMPTY. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN ALL THREE COLOR CARTRIDGES ARE EMPTY YOU CAN STILL PRINT IN BLACK AND WHITE. ONLY WHEN ALL FOUR CARTRIDGES ARE EMPTY WILL THE PRINTER STOP WORKING.

Q: QuestionIf you connect this printer via ethernet, will wireless printing work for devices on the same overall network as the ethernet is on?
Asked by Meadowsendjoan.
- A:Answer Yes. I can print to my network connected Canon MF733Cdw from any PC or Mac on my network, and from any iPhone via AirPrint.

Q: QuestionWe print in color a lot on Avery perforated card stock. Is this computer able to handle that type of printing?
Asked by Emily.
- A:Answer I have used 65 lb card stock with no problems. I have only fed a maximum of 10 sheets and have not used perforated. The Canon manual says to only use 20 lb but to reiterate I have used card stock with success.

Q: QuestionI use PDF files often (full Acrobat product). The 733 uses only UFRII drivers, not Postscript drivers, according to Canon. How well does it print detailed acrobat/pdf files? I.E. Reports with detailed charts & fine lines. How about scanning to pdf?
Asked by HCC8.
- A:Answer I use PDF files all the time, although I use Nuance's Power PDF software rather than Adobe Acrobat. (Power PDF offers nearly as many features at less cost than Acrobat and it has more professional-level features than I even have a need for.) This printer easily handles the PDF files I work with. Just today I needed a paper print of a PDF document that I had on a thumb [flash] drive. I walked up to the MF733, awakened it from its sleep mode, inserted the thumb drive, and used the on-screen menu to select print from USB drive. The MF733 displayed the PDF contents of the thumb drive. I selected the document I wanted to print and then pressed the color print button and a few moments later was holding the paper in my hand. The process of printing PDF documents this way is faster than to taking the thumb drive to a computer, turning on the computer, inserting the thumb drive, opening the file is Acrobat or Power PDF and then sending the file to the printer. I am impressed with how easy and quick it is to print PDF documents on the MF733 from thumb drives. Of course it is also a fabulous computer printer. With 600 dpi print resolution you get super sharp prints--and in color to boot. Plus, you also get document scanning--either ADF for scanning a stack of papers, or flatbed for scanning books, magazines, and pamphlets. I am so impressed with Canon quality I always buy Canon. I hope this helps.
