Logitech Performance MX Wireless Mouse (DISCONTINUED and Replaced by MX Master 2S)

From the Manufacturer

Logitech's exclusive technology gives you new freedom to work on virtually any surface—even on glass desks and tables where other mice can't track.

The plug-and-forget Unifying receiver stays in your notebook and connects up to six compatible devices in different places.

Logitech Performance Mouse MX
The power to achieve more on more surfaces

Your hand is poised. You're set to create the big presentation. And with your Logitech Performance Mouse MX, nothing stands in your way. This is the mouse that puts high performance in the palm of your hand.

Precision cursor control on more surfaces, including glass where other mice fail
Wireless freedom for multiple devices with plug-and-forget Unifying receiver
Recharging through your computer
Fingertip controls for hyper-fast scrolling, quick-zoom and more
Sculpted design cradles your hand for unmatched comfort

New Darkfield Tracking—now you can work on surfaces like glass, granite and polished wood without a restrictive mouse pad.

USB recharging eliminates the need to buy or change batteries.

Darkfield Laser Tracking for precise cursor control—even on glass

The culmination of a groundbreaking five-year engineering effort, Darkfield Laser Tracking lets you track on more surfaces than ever—including glass, where other mice flat-out fail. Logitech's exclusive technology tracks mouse movements by producing a detailed micro-roadmap of the work surface. So now you can confidently use your mouse on surfaces you never could before like clear glass, lacquered wood and marble.

Plug-and-forget Logitech Unifying receiver stays in your computer

One tiny wireless receiver gives you many possibilities. The receiver is so small you can leave it in your notebook and forget about it. So you never need to unplug it when you move around, and your mouse is always ready when you are. Plus, this one receiver connects up to 6 Unifying compatible devices, allowing you to add accessories like a Unifying wireless keyboard without having to manage multiple USB receivers. Create The Combo That Works For You. See other products that work with the Logitech Unifying receiver.

USB recharging system ends battery hassles and downtime

Recharge your mouse anytime, anywhere—even while you work. Use the USB cable for charging through your computer. From now on, you'll never need to look for batteries to get your mouse back in action so you can get back to work.

Fly through long documents at a spin of the Hyper-fast scroll wheel.

Hyper-fast scroll wheel puts you in total scroll control

Convenient thumb buttons help you to quickly flip through web histories.

20-page spreadsheet? Extra-long email thread? Spin the almost frictionless scroll wheel to fly through long documents, emails and web pages. Tilt the wheel left and right for side-to-side scrolling. You can even shift to click-by-click mode for precise, line-by-line navigation of lists, slides and photos. Fast or slow, you've got the control to get it done at your pace.

Sculpted shape guides your hand for more control and comfort

Imagine a mouse that feels so natural in your hand you actually forget you're using a mouse. The sculpted design cradles your hand for more comfort and less fatigue, even during marathon mouse sessions. And every control is intelligently positioned right at your fingertips, so you're in total control of every click, scroll, cut, paste and zoom.

Good for large hands, Nice feel, but could be a little better.
4 Stars
Good for large hands, Nice feel, but could be a little better.
I purchased this to replace a discontinued Gear-Head mouse that I really liked but was having issues. I like a bigger mouse and it has to have a "forward and back" thumb switch (once you have used a mouse with that option, you cant do without it when web surfing). Here's the good and bad;* This MX mouse feels good. It slides nicely on my mouse-pad and my glass desktop (yes, it works on glass).* It's a heaver house, which I like.* The "forward and back" buttons are placed higher than on my old G-H mouse, this is a bit of a aggravation and learning curve to me. The indentation were your thumb sits and the placement of the "F-B" buttons could have been designed differently. For the mouse features to work, you have to download the drivers from the Logitech web site. There was no disk or software included (welcome to the 2000"s).Zoom button works well - 1 click then zoom in or out with your scroll wheel, click again to to turn off.* Multi-Window button would work well with only 1 screen, I have two monitors so it it a mute accessory.* It says this mouse has a "side scroll" on the wheel mouse - I have not figured this one out yet, it feels the same no matter were I spin it.* The mini usb charging cable is a bit hard to install (into the mouse). I was hoping it would have been the same as my Samsung phone, but its the smaller of the mini's.* Battery charged quick. You can use the mouse while its with it charging.* Some have complained that the buttons were too sensitive, I did not find that being the case. They do have a lighter "click" threshold than my old GM, but not to the point that it's a deterrent.All-in-All it's a decent mouse - honestly, I would have been fine with my old $10 Gear-Head if it wouldn't have had developed "click" issues (clicks not going through). The pictures attached are the "side by sides" of the MX, The G-H, a "EagleTec" that came with my new keyboard and a old Microsoft wired laser mouse.Update 9/2015;After using the mouse for a couple of months it feels right at home. It seemed that the software has updated itself.. The initial download showed a mouse that looked nothing like this one - then it changed or updated the picture and features. As I described above, the "forward" button was placed too far forward, at least for me. I was able to change the "zoom" button to a "go forward" page feature and it's much better. I was also able to change bottom thumb click to open links in a new window. The custom-ability of this mouse is amazing. One thing that I think is odd is that the battery only lasts about a week before needing a recharge. I used to get a month from the old mouse, but I don't shut this mouse off like the directions suggest. Recharging is quick and you can use it while its charging.
