    Borrowing construction and circuitry design cues from our ES line, it all begins with a rigid chassis based on the legendary frame and beam concept. To this structure, we then mount the various components: a high capacity power transformer, custom heat sink, and other specially selected audio-grade components that together add up to class-leading sound quality. For purists, Pure Direct mode preserves signal clarity and detail by switching off unnecessary signal processing circuitry to provide the cleanest possible signal path with minimized electronic interference.

    Not only powerful, to deliver impressive multi-channel sound performance. (145W x 7 @ 6 ohms, 1 kHz, 0.9% THD), the STR-DN850 features the best audio technology from both Sony Music and Sony Pictures and can even support Hi-Resolution audio playback (bit rates up to 192k/24-bit WAV/FLAC). Added amplifier functionality allows for configuration flexibility including: speakers A or B, speakers A and B, in addition to Bi-Amp should the scenario call for it.

Via built-in music service support13, you can access and enjoy music streaming at its very best-the latest from Pandora, Spotify, Music Unlimited, and tunein.     I have had this for a month and have decided to review it now that I think I have a good opinion to give.I like it! That's as far as my music and technology knowledge goes. I did a lot of reading of other people's opinions, those people who were way more knowledgeable than me, then I bought this.The sound is great hooked up to a new set of Fluance Speakers. Setup was a breeze. The instructions were simple and adequate to get going in a hurry.Power-wise, this is perfect for our vaulted ceiling living room of about 25x30. I turned it up almost to full volume once and was satisfied that it could handle anything that I (or my teen boys) would want it to do.And playing a BlueTooth component like a phone or Ipad is simple. Quick matching between all of our phones. And if you are not switching devices from the last time it was used, there is no need to rematch with it. It remembers.
