This is my second pair of AE2W headphones...I keep the first paired with my Iphone, for music, while exercising at the gym and working at my desk at home or at the office...and this one paired with the Bluetooth transmitter attached to my TV sound system in the family room. Both work beautifully...and with the included cable, my wife and I can use them on a plane, while traveling and watching a movie or listening to music. Previously, while traveling, we used the Bose QC15 headphones, for excellent sound quality and noise reduction. The noise reduction of the AE2W isn't quite as good as the QC15 or QC25...but the wireless Bluetooth capability more than makes up for it.

I actually got these for taking calls on my VOIP phone. I wear hearing aids so "around the ear" instead of "on/over the ear" is critical to me. These are around the ear by the strictest definition. They do just barely go around my ears, but only just. The main point of around the ear is for comfort. It allows the load/weight to be spread out and if the breath you can wear them for long periods with little or no discomfort. They are just not big enough to work well for me. There is no denying a good sound quality. They also expand well for my big head. If they had just made the earpieces larger it would have been 5 stars. But as an "Around the Ear" headset they far fall short.

These headphones are a nice new product from Bose. The handsfree calling works great on these. The person you're talking to will never know you're on a headset. The music playback quality is also what i would call better than good and just shy of great. So, for the money, I'd say they are what I'd expect. Very comfortable, i can wear them for hours and have no fatigue. These also are very lightweight which makes them great for running. I've soaked them in sweat and they still work so I'd say they are fairly water resistant. The only reason i didn't give them 5 stars is because i feel they could be made a little stronger. I feel like the soft piece that rests on the top of your head could separate from the rest of the headphones fairly easily. SO just be easy with them and these should last a long time. One other small blemish on these headphones is their battery life. Now i do give Bose credit because the Bluetooth piece where the battery is stored is so small, but it only lasts me about 7 hours of use I'd say, so for me this means charging it about every third day. Other than all of this, I would definitely purchase these again.Read full review

I bought these so I could listen to my iPad without disturbing others. I wanted something Bluetooth to free myself from cords that were too short when I was working at my desk and too long when I was walking. I had used these headphones recently at the Bose outlet. I was impressed but, at the time, did not have a device to use them with. I was leaning toward the noise-canceling QuietComfort 15 cans, but once I got the iPad, I thought the AE2w model would be most useful. They are without question the most comfortable headphones I have used, and I have used many good brands over the years (Sennheiser, Koss, Denon, and so on). I can literally listen to them all night. I did not have great expectations about the Bluetooth sound off a mobile device, but it is actually pretty good. If you want to plug them in directly to the source, you can do that, too. The Bluetooth does use up the power in the iPad more quickly, but I am still able to use it all day off and on, so that has not been an issue for me. I charge the headphones when I am away, and the charge lasts. I cannot say how many hours but I have never felt stranded. I am a critical person, but I do not have anything bad to say about these headphones.Read full review
