Pros:
-Very sturdy and feels tough.
I bring this thing to LANs and i just have it in a bag in the back seat flailing around and it being okay about without any harm. The cable is fairly thick but doesn't get in your way, which is great. The cable that connects to the actual headset could take being ran over and yanked a little by a chair, and I would put money on it being okay afterwards. Also the microphone doesn't sag down over time, very nice!
-Microphone sound quality and close to no background noise what so ever.
I use skype a lot and when i'm in group calls and someone leaves, then it's just me and one other person on the call, they asked if the call dropped but it's just because the background noise was close to non-existent.
-Long lasting cushions
My previous headphones were the Bose comfort brand and I switched to these because obviously that product is designed for different use other than for skype. However, I noticed with the Bose headphones the cushions started to fall apart a bit around the same amount of time that I've had the Sennheiser's. I can see these headphones lasting 5 years or even longer if taken care of.
-Microphone mute and volume control
Last but definitely not least, these headphones have the best microphone mute/volume control i've ever used. The microphone mute is controlled by the microphone literally retracting back along the side of the headphones, it's very convenient and easy to spare people on skype right before i sneeze. Kinda silly but it does become easy enough to mute before sneezing i've found. The volume control on the right side of the headphones is really just a convenience but i would consider it much easier to use instead of having a giant volume control at some point on the cord (which is never fun to use in my opinion).
Cons: None of the cons have made me dislike the headset, but there are still cons none the less.
-Volume range is alright.
This is probably the biggest of the "insignificant" cons. The range isn't the greatest compared to other headphones i've used. The reason I don't find this a problem is when I use headphones, I normally don't have a large range of volume. This doesn't mean you wont notice it get louder or isn't capable of being loud or quiet. My recommendation is to set your volume knob to about 40 percent to 50, then go into your sound options and try to find "medium" volume for your taste and consider it volume calibration.
-Slightly large mic
This is pretty self explanatory, and again, it's not too big a deal because you get used to it quick. I'm just glad the mic has not sagged down.
-Felt tight on head initially
This is at the bottom of all the slight quirks because this problem goes away really quick (after the first day for me). But when I first put them on it felt like the headphones were clenching my head, but the cushion pads just needed to be broken in.
Other Thoughts: One thing I didn't add was the price because you truly pay for the quality and sturdier longer lasting product. These Sennheiser's have proven to be pretty tough thus far.
One of the biggest things i didn't mention is how comfortable they are to wear for 5 hours to even 8 hours at a time. Open ear in my opinion is the way to go for that marathon like gaming or music listening because your ears are able to breathe. With closed ear headphones, you have a chance of having your ears sweat over a long period of time.
I honestly would recommend these headphones for anyone that wants a long lasting pair with the quality of a more expensive pair of headphones from Sennheiser.
lets cover the Pros first
sound quality is very good, Frequency response is very flat, maybe a bit bright on the High frequencies. Clarity is excellent definitely better than my Bose QC15s; but that is expected; their active noise canceling, you will loose some of the subtleties of the music during the processing. Overall build construction is VERY good for the price and is prob better than my now gone Bose.
So I don't really think that there are really any cons for a pair of headphones that work, and sound good at this price point so I am just going to list these items as things I don't like. Comfort is good but not as good as my QC15s the pads are not quite as soft so eventually they will irritate your skin with prolonged listening. Also the ear cups are a bit small you really have to move them around to get them comfortable on your ears. The cord is REALLY long and is made of this pliable, sticky silicone that catches on stuff, and my cat thinks its great to chew on........ also the the speakers in the head phones are really high impedance so for some applications an external phones amp might be be needed.
The headphones are comfortable, with very little noise leakage even at high volumes (I use them in my office) and they fold up very nicely.
My only complaint is the cord, it is very thin and I cannot see it holding up for very long. Unfortunately these headphones are not made where the cord/jack can be replaced without opening up the earpiece - I see soldering in my future.
Very good sound reproduction along the full range. They have a comfortable volume range as well, but they don't get so loud as to deafen you. The padded cushions make the set comfortable enough to wear all day, but your ears may get a bit warm like they would with any closed wall pair. The rotating joints and hinges make the set comfortable to wear on a single ear as well. The pads also do a good job of canceling outside noises.
I originally bought a pair at Best Buy on clearance and my wife kept taking them so I was looking to buy a second set. Because they were an offshoot build, the HD360 was a low production run and they are sold out or overpriced in many places. Current price of this listing is $76 and they are among the best quality-for-dollar headphone purchases I've found, better than many sets at two or three times the price.
I had read about them fitting tight on some peoples heads and that had me worried as I have a moderately big head but the headphones fit fine and my head does not feel squeezed. The ear pads are very soft, I would almost say they feel 'butter soft', the over-head part feels sturdy and adjusts solidly without any slippage at this point. The cord is crazy long which I love just because I'm so sick of short cables that are never quite long enough.
As far as sound goes, the highs and mids are very clear but to be honest I hear very little bass in these but what bass I am hearing is clear and undistorted. Overall, the sound is sharp and clear and I dont need a ton of bass anyway. They fold up nicely and the carrying pouch is decent enough but not 'amazing'.
They are lightweight and at this price I doubt you could find anything near as good.
